The rollercoaster career of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah took another surprising twist this summer when its founding bassist and keyboardist/ guitarist left the band, slimming the former blog darlings down to a trio. They're bolstered on this tour by two-thirds of Diamond Doves. Sure, they'll help recreate the layers, but they likely won't mask the feeling that CYHSY has become increasingly uninspired as it has shed the danceable rhythms, bobbing bass lines and angular riffs. Locals Gray Young and A Rooster for the Masses round out the bill with shimmering post-rock grandeur and politically minded alt-rock grooves, respectively. —Spencer Griffith
