Brian Regan has reached that point in his 20-plus-year career where he makes a comfortable living as a working stand-up comic. He may not be a superstar comedian who people know from movies and TV, but the man has maintained a rep for being a comic whose show anyone—from kids to senior citizens—can check out and get all giggly. Other famous comedians also hold him in high regard: Fans of Jerry Seinfeld's new Web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee may have seen Seinfeld driving Regan around Los Angeles in one episode, laughing incessantly at everything Regan threw out there. Marc Maron, whose "WTF With Marc Maron" podcast is the go-to show for comedy nerds, is also an avowed fan, often mentioning on his show how Regan (who was a recent guest) is an instant source of hilarity for him. Anyone who has seen Regan in action knows he deserves all the props he's received: He does absurdist, observational riffs that often call for him to contort his face and body in ways that range from the hilariously cartoonish to the surprisingly balletic.
