This four-band bill unites a variety of reggae acts from across the state, though it's actually a few days before Bob Marley's 68th birthday. Mickey Mills & Steel feature the trademark sound of Trinidadian steel drums; fellow Triangle act Jamrock Reggae Band goes smooth while drawing from the catalogs of Marley, Toots and Beres. Wilmington's Give Thanks Band and Asheville's Zion Project represent the state's eastern and western wings; the former sticks rather strictly to roots, while the latter delivers a heavy dose of dub. DJ Ras J spins classic cuts throughout the night. Tickets are $12–$15 for the 8:30 p.m. show. Visit catscradle.com. —Spencer Griffith
