Bill Maher is like the grown-up version of that smarmy, self-important guy from college who's always eager to get into a political argument—you know, the one you simultaneously want to slap and sleep with. (Oh, is that just me?) As the host of HBO's Real Time—which was preceded by his similar late-night talk show Politically Incorrect—he's been much acclaimed (and hated on) for his blend of sarcastic humor and social satire and his facilitation of heated political debate. One of the best parts of Real Time is "New Rules," when Maher takes the floor to scathingly comment on popular culture and politics, showing off his stand-up chops. He'll certainly have plenty of fodder for that sort of thing in this summer tour.
