Sitar genius Ravi Shankar became legendary for showing the Beatles how to rock Indian-style, but Ravi's daughter, Anoushka Shankar
(pictured), is already working on sitar legend status at the age of 20. She has three CDs to her credit--most recently a recording of her performance at Carnegie Hall--and in 1998, she was awarded the House of Commons Shield by the British Parliament, making her the first female recipient of the honor, as well as the youngest. You can witness her rising star on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m., when the Indian Classical Music and Dance Society hosts their major concert of the season at Duke's Page Auditorium. Tickets are available at 684-4444.
