BCBB's Hands on the Bull Contest

Contestants Derek Easly, left, Steve Anderson, center, and Kevin
McCabe, right, competed
at CCB Plaza in Durham
on Saturday for a chance
to win a year’s worth of
free hamburgers from Bull
City Burger & Brewery.
BCBB organized the daylong
test of will, which
required contestants to
keep one hand on Major
the bull at all times,
except for two bathroom
breaks. (No diapers were
allowed.) At 8:30 a.m.,
contestants placed their
hands on the sculpture
while two judges
watched and played
annoying music, including
a half-hour set by Alvin
and the Chipmunks.
Nearly 14 hours later,
five contestants were
left. It took a few rounds
of trivia to declare a
winner: Kevin McCabe.
