Bats & Mice, Cinemechanica, Monsonia, Mr Free & the Satellite Freakout

When: Sun., July 25, 8:30 p.m. 2010
Price: $6

While Bats & Mice (featuring Triangle native Ben Davis) have been around for more than a decade, those years weren't exactly filled with activity. The band spent a fair amount of time on the backburner as its members pursued other post-hardcore, math-flavored, emo-esque endeavors (Engine Down, The Rah Bras and Milemarker, for examples). But with original members Davis and David NeSmith joined now by new drummer Mark Oates, and fresh releases coming soon, it looks like the understudy might get a chance to finally take center stage. The like-minded precision of Cinemechanica and Chapel Hill's Monsonia open. —David Raposa
