Antiseen is nothing if not persistent. Nearing their 30th anniversary, the principal duo of Jeff Clayton and Joe Young (flanked these days by bassist Jon Bowman and drummer Phil Keller) has plenty to reflect upon. They've collaborated with punk-rock supervillain G.G. Allin, released an avalanche of records (including a 1992 entry in Sub Pop's singles club) and garnered reissues and lengthy compilations. Earlier this year, Clayton was even enshrined in resin as a collectible bobblehead. It's a remarkable résumé for a band so consistently and purposefully basic; their meat-and-potatoes punk rarely strays from its power-chord foundations. Apparently, it doesn't have to.
