California comedienne Anjelah Johnson is one cute little thing. She's petite and pixie-ish, but perhaps because she's part Mexican-American and part Native American, she's also full of scrap and spunk. As a comic who works clean as a whistle, she has a wholesome yet urban adorableness that may explain why she's amassed a major following online. A skit in which she plays a sassy burger-joint employee named Bon Qui Qui has received 58 million views on YouTube, and a standup routine in which she recalls getting hoodwinked by a Vietnamese nail salon employee has had 28 million views. When Johnson, who was briefly a featured player on MADtv, does these bits in her standup special That's How We Do It, they're greeted with rapturous applause. Don't be surprised if Bon Qui Qui and the nail salon lady make appearances at this 7 p.m. show. —Craig D. Lindsey
