Audrey Tautou enchants as the pixie Amélie Poulain in this delightful 2001 ode to love from French director Jean-Pierre Jeunet, co-written by Guillaume Laurant. A shy and pure-hearted waitress, Amélie nonetheless has the magical ability to charge the lives of others around her with mysterious joy. When she discovers a cache of toys hidden in her apartment's wall, she vows to return them to the boy who hid them so long ago. Along her way, she brightens to incandescence the lives of a hermetic painter, a blind man in her neighborhood and her curmudgeonly father, whose lawn gnome circumnavigates the globe and wakens him to the wonders of the world. And, of course, Amélie herself finds love with a kindred spirit. Be prepared to smile and sigh unabashedly. The Cinema Inc. screening is at 7 p.m.; tickets are by $20 season subscription, but prorated memberships are available. —Chris Vitiello
