Durham author Alice J. Wisler launches her new novel, Still Life in Shadows, at this special premiere reading and signing at the Durham County Library. The tale follows Gideon Miller, who escapes his Amish community, settles in the North Carolina mountains and then helps lead other Amish there as well. Good for him! I never trusted the Amish anyway. Lousy bonnets. A signing will follow the reading. —Zack Smith
