Montreal dubstep duo Adventure has a song called "Rise and Fall," which pretty much explains what their in-the-pocket dubstep tracks do. A beautiful but damaged vocal line cries out over slowly building synth blips until it hits a fever pitch. All the instruments pump and pound, and "the drop"—a moment of catharsis that suggests Satan burping—arrives. Oh boy, it's awesome, especially if the light person makes everything all crazy. Repeat for four minutes, with that vicious wub-wub moment coming back harder each time.
