The annual Miss Liberia Pageant, which has been held outside of Liberia due to the county's ongoing civil war, is coming to the Hayti Heritage Center in Durham.
Saturday's program will feature customs and virtues of Liberian culture, instrumental and vocal performances and other talents of the contestants.
The event is hosted by Today's Woman of Liberia, which strives to revive the dispersed Liberian culture in the Triangle through mentoring and providing scholarships to those who have lost educational opportunities as a result of war.
Come out for what promises to be a beautiful evening. Saturday, June 14, 7-12 p.m. Hayti Heritage Center, 804 Fayetteville St, Durham. 363-6757. $10.
