With spring in the air, what better way to spend a Saturday than by heading outdoors and listening to great live music? This Saturday, Umstead State Park is hosting a walk/run to raise funds to preserve William B. Umstead State Park and the Richland Creek Corridor.
The event will take place on a 4-mile-long trail (hike as much or as little of it as you'd like), with live music on the trailside along the way. The family-oriented celebration will also feature food, environmental exhibits, and more music by Hybrid Grove, Bruce Emery, Marilyn Gates, Jason File, Jamie Purnell and Laura Lombardo and others on the main stage from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Come enjoy the great outdoors while helping to keep of one of the Triangle's most beautiful natural areas open and green.
