Celebrate the holidays the right way: with music and alcohol. The local artistic collective Haymaker has taken over Fullsteam for a variety revue evening of "crafting activities, live art, performances, photo ops with the Holiday Gorilla, and a Variety Hour featuring Bull City talent from comedy to contortionism." We're not sure what the "Holiday Gorilla" is, but we're very scared. Fullsteam owner Sean Wilson serves as MC for the night; Independent Weekly contributor Chris Vitiello appears as the Poetry Fox. The event starts at 6:15 p.m.; admission is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy ($10 value recommended). —Zack Smith
