      <![CDATA[If council members have too much to do, the simple answer is to expand the size of the council. That would cost a lot less than giving every member of council an aide.

      <![CDATA[It's a crying shame the far-right winged Republican tea-party lovers on the Wake Board of Commissioners are so stead-fast opposed to Raleigh moving towards the future on this transportation issue. I genuinely feel sorry for the Raleigh City Council to be stuck in the predicament that the county has put them in.

      <![CDATA[Well what do you know. That's the closest I've heard anyone in city government come to making sense on the transit issue ... maybe ever.<br>

In unrelated news, the Council also decided to drop the pet licensing program that they adopted several years ago.
