The building DOES belong to them and all of us, or at least it should. The people's labor created it, not parasitic capitalist pigs who sit on their fat asses all day in board meetings trying to figure out how to squeeze more profits out of the workers who are their slaves.

Also, everybody works, it can't be avoided.

Your article about the Carrboro Anarchists had the opposite effect on me of that which was intended. Yes, I'm quite sure the delicate sensibilities of bourgeois / middle class citizens are shocked at such brazen displays of initiative, direct action and effrontery toward the sanctity of private property.

"Occupy Chapel Hill has been on the whole very supportive of both the building takeovers. "

If Occupy Chapel Hill has been so supportive why have they issued press releases disavowing any relationship and containing no wording of support?

Any of the purported goals of "Carrboro Commune" could have been pursued either through town government, through non-profits, or directly by the Carrboro Commune itself, none of which happened.

The following are some corrections to and comments on this article from one Carrboro Commune participant.

First, in terms of numbers, at least 50 or so people participated in the march to and occupation of the building at 201 N. Greensboro St., not "20." While a number of people were inside the building, cleaning up broken glass, building furniture, setting up a gas generator, setting up food and literature tables, and painting the walls, many more were outside engaging the public about the occupation itself.
