Election Day is, indeed, Nov. 2. I don't think it's racist in any way for an Indian-American candidate who would be the first ever elected not just in Wake but, apparently, in the entire state of North Carolina, to reach out to the Indian-American community for support.

Bob do I detect you are a racist?

"Rao, meanwhile, is a hard-charging newcomer who's courting the thousands of Indian-Americans who live in Wake County, many of them in his Cary-based district."

"Rao is running on an economic development platform, including a promise to seek out Indian investors for Wake County if he's elected"

Meeker would say "Rao is not from Wake County"
Fantastic article that clearly lays out the challenges to the voters of Wake County as to whether they want to continue to elect the same candidates year after year who believe in old school, business as usual politics of maintaining the status quo or those with fresh ideas to bring new blood and practical solutions not hindered by any under the table alliances or hidden promises.

Do we fear the devil we already know or the potential of a new beginning?
