      <![CDATA[It's funny how the cable advocates love to bring up Mooresville's MI Connection system as proof that municipal broadband is a failure. They bought a bankrupt CABLE system, and tried to make it work.

      <![CDATA[It is anti-competitive. It is clearly yet another case of an elected official representing extremely profitable, and in the case of TWC, monopolizing private corporations.<br>
<br>
Any bill that prevents (in whatever way) and restricts a local authority from providing a service that may be beneficial to its residents, in order to protect the big corporations is highly suspicious.

      <![CDATA[Please go read Wilson's financial statements. They have taken $12 million from utility ratepayers that could have been used to lower utility rates and used that to prop up their system  (which is now has run out of money before reaching even one-half of the citizens).

      <![CDATA[CableRep is willing for public to pick up tab for folk who require expensive setup while private companies sit back and rake in bucks for the easy provision. Cable wanted $1500 to run their line to my house for the privilege of paying their exorbitant monthly fees.
