yes florida has no state tax but it's made up for by insanely high property taxes. in a state like florida where tourism is one of the major industries, it is the wealthy who generate the most property tax revenue.

Florida and Texas have no state income taxes, wealthy or otherwise. Here is an idea: Spend this year only the taxes you collected last year.

What state are "the abused wealthy" going to go to? Is there a state that isn't raising taxes on the wealthy at this time?

Chris Fitzsimon, president of the progressive N.C. Policy Watch, said there's "a lot to like about the package," especially the higher rates on the wealthy.

What do you plan to do, who do you plan to tax, after you've driven all "the wealthy" out of North Carolina?
