    Currently the City of Durham collectively might deserve a "needs to improve" noting these stats from our Pedestrian Plan http://www.bikewalkdurham.org/plansdocs/pedplan.html<p>
    <p>Sidewalk Mileage. Durham has approximately 1,124 miles of road and 409 miles of 
    sidewalks, which makes for a ratio of approximately one mile of sidewalk to 2.7 miles of road (.36:1 miles sidewalk to road).

      <![CDATA[I'm glad that you provided the caveat that most scores for our area are likely to be mediochre. I've seen a number of conversations about the WalkScore site in a variety of bike/ped/non-car fora, and there are a number of shortcomings in the site.
