<![CDATA[I think that it is extremely unfair that the Indy did not endorse Mike Kelley giving vague reasons at best. When I was dealing with the redistricting of my neighborhood that was particularly unfair to the 7 children that live in my segment, I invited the entire school board to visit my neighborhood.

The endorsements show no real analysis of the positions of the candidates, provide little or nothing in the way of specifics to justify the broad generalizations, and fail to offer any substantial guidance on the concerns that district stakeholders use to evaluate candidates.

<![CDATA[The first reason that the Indy offers for declining to endorse Mike Kelley again is unfair; the second is shameful. The Indy maintains that "when voting, he hasn't always kept all children in mind."

<![CDATA[I am disappointed by the Independent's decision not to endorse Mike Kelley for Chapel Hill Carrboro School Board. Kelley has been a strong advocate for evidence based programs and for ensuring that our schools help every child to grow and learn.
