No problem! He's awesome. It was a total miscommunication. I just wanted to clear it up
Thank you for this wonderful article on me! However, I never said that I prefer rock clubs to comedy clubs. I perform at both and comedy clubs are my favorite places in the world. They are the places that I first went to see comedy and I get a feeling of excitement walking in to one to this day . Due to my schedule constraints - I sometimes perform at rock clubs or small theaters if I only have time to be in that city for one night (most clubs require a 3-4 night commitment from a comedian.)
Sure, certain towns I can guarantee that my fans are more of the "indie" variety, younger, have less money and are fine with standing room. In certain college towns or more "punk rock" places, I'll do a rock club to cater to the particular fans coming - that way they don't have to pay drink minimums or high prices.
But never did the words come out of my mouth that I prefer "rock clubs" - I feel having this in print gives me a certain kind of reputation as someone that can't handle comedy clubs and may damage my reputation with existing clubs I work with and future clubs that I want to work with.
