Frank Roche challenged her in 2014, not 2012, With only 3 months of campaigning and Establishment RINOs blocking him at every turn, he still managed to garner just over 41% of the vote. Frank is an economist who knows fiscal policy, foreign policy, and has the background to go to DC and make a difference, unlike Daly or Duncan. Daly didn't even have a residence in NC until she decided to run for office. While we definitely need to get Ellmers out of office, putting someone in who, like Ellmers, doesn't know anything about what is best for our economy and our country would also be a mistake. Just saying you are going to "hunt RINOs", while cute and all, doesn't mean you are the right person for the job.
It takes more than a good announcement video to know how to fix the problems we face in this country. Clay has neither the knowledge or the expertise to know how to do anything other than follow the Democratic regime. Ellmers has indeed failed the second district with her representation. Her opponent in the primary, far from being an extremist, has the knowledge and experience to get this country back on track. Frank Roche is currently the only one running for the 2nd District that actually has the resume to back up his candidacy.
