For many years the Scottish FA operated 10 team leagues with 4 matches between the teams instead of 2 (2 home, 2 away). For the NASL this would have involved 6 additional games from the 30 game season enabling 3 additional home games per team presumably increasing revenue. I cannot fathom how they could not fit 6 additional games in around the world cup schedule. I would even go one step further and suggest scheduling within a couple of hours of games finishing or before they are starting and capturing the soccer fever that will hopefully hit the US. If Joe the Plumber in Carolina watches the US games and gets a buzz then he has 2 hold that buzz for two weeks to see his local team, or maybe even 3 or 4 if the schedule is against him and it becomes less likely he'll take the family to the game. Come on NASL suck it up give us a proper season or 2 if you must but get with the program.
