Re: “The case of the trooper's missing hat, now in N.C. appellate court

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The top brass at the NCSHP are the farthest from being able to tell or even recognize the truth. God's honest nothing. The agency has deteriorated to being worthy of condemnation.

Re: “The case of the trooper's missing hat, now in N.C. appellate court

The Highway Patrol might be the most corrupt organization in the state. Post #1 has it right. This poor guy is caught in a mess he can't even run from. If they lose on appeal they will keep after him. His career is ruined and for nothing more than someone's petty power tripping. If INDY really wants a story, they should investigate how much $$MONEY$$ the state wastes pursuing just troopers through these employment cases. The AG's office is a black hole for these type arguments at the behest of the brass at the patrol. You would be sick. And, if they lose (often they do because the issues are asinine) they also pay the trooper's lawyers!! A trip through the courts to the Court of Appeals or to the Supremes could easily costs us $300k. That is about 8 teacher salaries with benefits included - where are our priorities?
