We started the evening out by sharing an appetizer sampler at the Oxford, where the service was very friendly& attentive, but the 2 tiny crab cakes were soggy & didn't have much crab. They had shrunk the portions in the appetizer sampler so much that I felt we would have gotten more to eat if we had spent the same amount on 2 regular priced appetizers. Then we went to Binda Manda where the food was awesome, & the service & decor were great. I couldn't help but notice that some of the items offered in the $30 3-course prix fixe menu would have been cheaper if ordered from the regular menu. We tried to pick items that seemed the best value but we were served vegetarian summer rolls intead of the shrimp ones described on the promo menu, & the portion of the salmon entree seemed a little "scaled back." If we ordered the same items off the reg menu in a different week, they would have cost $28 or $29 instead of $30, & the portions would have probably been larger. Bottom line was we had a nice evening out and ate some great food, but Restaurant Week didn't provide any added value or promotional pricing.
