Shame on you, Grayson Currin and the rest of the Indy editing staff, for allowing the Independent, a local Raleigh publication, to become a forum for Midwestern internet trolls to trash independent music written, recorded, promoted, and performed in YOUR town. Nuclear Honey is a band of five (not seven – check your facts) Raleigh natives with true, organic Raleigh influence – something about which your “staff writer” Chris Parker has much to learn. Parker, a self-proclaimed “music scribe” residing in Cleveland, Ohio -- yes, Ohio -- has proven through this review that he spends much more time thinking about reasons why “Cleveland Rocks” than he does about Raleigh music and its local influences. Please keep the Independent what it was meant to be, a local editorial on local music, art, and culture. And please don’t outsource your reviews to the out-of-state low bidder with little feel for what the triangle scene is all about.
