I agree with the post by K. Yates. The independent should be ASHAMED. I don't see the article as very newsworthy, much less a cover story. I can only hope it somehow brings more attention to help cats, the Goathouse Refuge, and dear Siglinda who is a martyr for cats. Who else is helping them to the extent she is? Cats are sorely overlooked by mankind by lack of neutering and care. Dogs are abused by humans too, but I find that cats are more maligned (cat allergies, dog owners letting their dogs run lose in parks and neighborhoods attacking cats). Search your soul and love a cat! It's the right thing to do...such loving and intelligent animals.
