I have been a volunteer at The Goathouse Refuge for almost a year. I spend a lot of my time at the Refuge on weekends, foster, assist with special events and assist in adoptions. This article brought tears to my eyes. Siglinda Scarpa is the most amazing woman I have ever met in my life. This Refuge is her life. She gives the cats everything she has and then some. This woman spares no expense when it comes to caring for these cats. These former employees/volunteers are unnamed for a reason, they don't want anyone to question their motive. Shame on you. Shame on The Indy. Why would you try to hurt this woman, the animals that she so deeply loves and her lifelong dream? Why?? It would be a lot more productive to place your negative energy in a new direction and try to accomplish something good and positive. I have had wonderful, healthy fosters from the Refuge, some of the sweetest kittens I have ever met. I love what I do for Siglinda, I love what she is doing to help these creatures that have no voice in what happens to them and I love the beautiful sanctuary she is providing. The New York Times and The Today Show got it right, Indy you sure got it wrong! But then, I guess there really is no comparison, is there?
