If the general public only saw the way hogs (and all confined livestock animals) are raised, which I have, they would be horrified. The Ag industry has made it illegal in several states to simply take pictures of these industrialized factory farms so they can continue to perpetuate the myth that the traditional family farm (animals raised by ma and pa in a barn with hay) still exists. It does not. Companies like Prestage Farms, Smithfield, Perdue, Tyson have virtually destroyed the family farmer. If you have not seen the "Meatrix" please google it. It is a must see and quite entertaining but sadly terribly real. As an NC State Alum I am disappointed NC State would support this but not surprised! Will not be supporting the Wolf Pack Club this year, possibly ever again!
