We certainly don't want the city to do anything wrong. If they don't want us, we will take our convention and sales tax elsewhere. It is good to think on what Jesus would do. Would he be voting for some politician? He said at Acts 1:8 that the Christian congregation would be witnesses in all the world. You might want to think about what you do and what your church does.
The WT is not rich We have many properties on sale in Brooklyn Heights, but they are not selling because of the recession. Every is supported by voluntary contributions as was done in the early congregation. Consider whether Jesus would contribute to organizations outside of his arrangement.
I have a Masters in Business Administration. I am well familiar with brainwashing techniques. I always check what they write and be sure it is based on the scriptures. It is much easier to repeat these often-heard complaints rather than checking them against the Bible. I am also a math teacher at the college level. With me everything has to fit. Then I read about Jesus praying to God, so I know he is not God, but as he says, "The Son of God."
Jesus was in Hell according to Acts 2:27, so I don't need the Watch Tower to tell me that Hell is just the grave awaiting the resurrection. It is much easier to prate on and on on over used phrases without checking them. It is no different than in Jesus' days of maligning Jesus' work and that of this followers. Please talk with Jehovah's Witnesses the next time they call. You may be pleasantly enlightened.
