Born a raised in Texas, still live here and now refuse to buy Blue Bell anymore. Instead of sugar, they use high fructose corn syrup. Sad. It is NOT the original recipe. I choose, instead, a brand that uses the basic recipe. Look at Häagen-Dazs vanilla...BASIC ingredients...Cream, Skim Milk, Sugar, Egg Yolks, Natural Vanilla...SIMPLE. Blue Bell's: Milk, Cream, Sugar, Milk Skim, Corn Syrup High Fructose, Corn Syrup, Flavor(s) Natural and Artificial Vanilla, Cellulose Gum, Vegetable(s) Gum (Guar Gum, Carrageenan, Carob Bean Gum), Salt, Annatto Color. First of all, why do you have to have sugar AND HFCS???? How is this the "best" ingredients anyone can find? Give me Häagen-Dazs any day over Blue Bell or I'll just make it myself!
