Luckily a group of concerned North Carolinians, still reeling from their disappointment with the results of the vote on Amendment 1, protested the KKK rally at the square of Harmony, the town advertised as their meeting spot. They felt their security was threatened and moved their rally at the last minute out of North Carolina and into Va. There are people in NC who are open minded and passionate about their beliefs against racism, bigotry, homophobia, religious intolerance, and stupidity. The rally against the klan had a much larger crowd than the klan rally itself.
