Thank you Teresa! You are the face of those who can easily be hurt by this amendment, it can take the life you have, have worked for and love and destroy it! I am currently writing a blog on this issue, and I will open it with your comment!

I am religious, I am open-minded, I love God, I am educated, I am a family person, and I love people - all people, and this expensive, needless amendment truly rubs me the wrong way (not to mention it makes the state of North Carolina look ignorant and backward). Two laws on the books in NC should be enough already to pacify the homophobic of our state, but I guess not. Be careful I say (as a Christian woman), allowing religion to start taking away rights and we are headed down a slippery slope!
