I agree with you. My disagreement was w/ Mr. Cubbison's comparison of the N&O and Independent articles as contradictory, which they were not.
Woodard learned Friday that the STATEMENT OF ECONOMIC INTEREST and the STATEMENT OF ORGANIZATION he sent to the N.C. Ethics Commission and State Board of Elections Feb. 22, within the required 10-day period, had not been received by those offices. He has been given 30 days to comply.
The 1st-quarter financial report is an entirely different document and was filed before the 5p.m. deadline yesterday.
There is no difference of explanation. The are 2 separate issues.
In what way is this explanation different from what Woodard said yesterday? Acc'g to the N&O link, he said he'd sent the info on time. Here he says he sent them but they hadn't been received and he was going to Raleigh to straighten that out.
