My daughter has been attending TMSA ever since it started. She is in 7th grade now. So far, we have had a wonderful experience at TMSA, and we are planning to send my son to TMSA as well. I remember these type of allegations started about 2 years ago, and I was at first very concerned, and paid more attention to see if these were really true. I even thought of pulling her, but later I got convinced that this stuff is not true.
Yes, some of the teachers and admins are Turkish but what is the problem with that? These people work very hard for our kids' education. If you drop by the school at nights or weekends, you will definitely see some Turkish teachers or admins working. It was incredible to see that they were able to purchase a building, renovate in the 3rd year and managed to move the school shortly after the semester started. The school success was incredible last year with especially more than half of the kids being African-American.
We had home visits from teachers in the past 4 years that we never had experienced from the county school she previously attended. She loves her teachers and the school culture at TMSA. The academic clubs are a big success to enrich herself and socilize. We never had any experience about islamic or Gulen teaching. The teachers or admins may like him or not, but that's their personal choice. What I care is my kids and their education!
