Good observation, A is Jump!
I'm Kim Ionescu, one of the Coffee Buyers at Counter Culture Coffee, and I would like to correct the price listed in the above article: in 2011, we paid a few different prices for different coffees from Finca Mauritania (which included some cool experimental stuff and small lots) but the lowest of the bunch was actually $3.60 per pound, not the $1.60 listed above. We are big proponents of price transparency and list all of the prices CCC pays for our Direct Trade Certified coffees on our website.
