Re: “A novel agreement between a landlord and artists gives Raleigh a new art space

I believe one of the artists mentioned is actually Sally Van Gorder, not Gordon.

Re: “Tonk's Let's Keep It Dark

Thanks for the review. For the record, "Bo Stevens" is actually Bo Taylor.

One aspect of The Tonk I appreciate is the band member's willingness to stretch themselves. Taylor, for example, is playing drums for the first time and Lane's approach to the pedal steel, also his first time with the instrument, is clearly reverent, not gimmicky.

Re: “Robbie Rogers to travel with L.A. Galaxy to face Carolina RailHawks in U.S. Open Cup

"When Rogers makes his debut, he will become the first openly gay male athlete to compete in an American professional team sport."

Uh... you might wanna read this piece about Glenn Burke before making such declarations.

Re: “Lightning strikes twice: Carolina RailHawks outlast four-hour delay for 1-0 win over Minnesota Stars

“Stop, that’s enough … I’m not in the mood right now.” That about summed up our feelings last night at 10:30 when we gave up & went home.

On another note: How much do lightening rods cost? How many would it take to make WakeMed Soccer Park "safe?" Is there a better solution to dealing with the growing frequency of these storms?

Re: “What a Hess: Old-timers Corchiani and Gugliotta get kicked out as Florida State tames Wolfpack

Please, who are the ones trying "to arrogate excuses?" The journalists peppering the coach & players during post-game interviews are begging for sound bites that sound like excuses. Did they get them? I don't think so.

The salaciousness of Hess's protocol gaff only adds insult to "N.C. State’s woeful effort and chronic shortcomings." No one's claiming it as an excuse. It's just wrong on the face of it.

Re: “The enigmatic Gale Agbossoumonde talks about his soccer odyssey and why he joined the Carolina RailHawks

Great piece, Neil. I look forward to more RailHawks coverage in the future.
