Nickel Creek's setlist was a great mix of new and old, vocal and instrumental. I was really hoping for a classic crazy interlude during "The Fox," but the mini jam was good too. They did a superb job with the new material from The Dotted Line, but "Hayloft" is pretty terrible as well as being a completely annoying earworm. As much as I was walking in the clouds last night with having the trio back after 7 years, I woke up this morning with that terrible song in my head.
Also, nice work threading "mutual admiration society" in there. Can we have a 10-year anniversary tour from MAS?
Nice article Bob, these thoughts were very similiar to my initial reactions asking why Tata never reprimanded the Republicans for doing something very similar (AND having prviate meetings) before the next meembers were seated.
Do this, and take the other schools and arrange them in 4 conferences of 12-16 schools (Big East, Conf USA/Sun Belt, MtWest/West, Midwest).
Then have the tourney consist of the 4 mid-major conference champs in 2 play-in games to play the two lower-ranked major conference champs. The winners take on the two higher-ranked big conference champs, and the winners go to the championship.
Or just take all eight conference champs, seed them, and play the tourney. Add two of these four - Holiday, Cotton, Peach & Gator Bowls - to BCS and you have the seven games for the Championship Tourney.
Play the rest of the bowls as usual by invitation.
