Re: “Despite the dangers of fracking, North Carolina lawmakers want to legalize it

As New Yorker in upstate NY, we too have been fighting this gas fracking issue. We have been following the disasters in Northeast PA, as well as in Dish Texas. There in Dish, Texas, the mayor had to move away, because his family was getting ill from the gas hydro-fracking. You see, in that area, perhaps others, they rushed into signing, before investigating the pros and cons. Mayor Tillman of Dish Texas came to upstate NY about 2 years ago this spring to warn us of the rush to signing on. He visited several areas up here and spoke on the issues that are causing people in Texas to regret rushing in. Water is so precious, without it, one can not live, nor can your farm animals, or vegetation whether you're a farmer or just a land/home owner. NY Times had an article about a wk ago saying, that insiders (ones who work for these gas companies), are doubtful about the process etc. etc. We all need to work together to help other states as well. I will sign the peition from "jackinthebox" which he posted here.
