Were you at this game? First of all, it is now the 309 Depot where we were banging on drums, singing songs, waving flags and loudly supporting our Women's team. Second, there were few, if any, wistfully looking Railhawks fans there -- many of us were clad in US gear or wearing red-white-and-blue and doing our 110% best to support our Women's team.
Let us not forget -- it was a Republican mayor who led Cary down this Develop-Baby-Develop road that has pitted neighbor against neighbor. Thankfully, Weinbrecht is an approachable, rational and thoughtful mayor. I cringe at the thought of another "pro-business" (read as ANTI-CITIZEN) Republican candidate. I think we've made good progress on the balance front and I think a lot of that is due to Harold Weinbrecht's leadership.
Re: “Photo ID bill: Veto'd by Perdue”
Heard that a thorough review of nearly 10000 (ten thousand) ballots found a grand total of 4 (four) instances of "illegal" or fraudulent votes. All 4 (four) were cases of nothing alarming in that they were votes cast in the wrong district or and address had not been updated, etc. In other words, the legislature is spending its job-creation time on an issue that, at best, is a problem for 0.0004% of the votes cast out there.
