The bill you site is specific to people who register by mail or have never voted before. I do however support for the same reasons you state, the changing of the current proposal due to the fact that they want to create a new and needless voter ID card. Let the current NC Drivers license or Department of transportation, current 'non driver' ID card suffice as proof of Identity. I can get a passport using that id, why should I not be able to use it to vote?
