Lormarev Jones here. I'm the loud one in the picture. In addition to being an actor in the show, I am also a board member, and I would like to set the record straight about the limited run of JUDAS.
As the other blurb about the show says, the show was supposed to open in February - the 4th of February, actually. Mr. Matthews, having the foresight of having to delay in the past, asked that all cast members hold open dates in March (through this weekend), in case we had to push back the opening. Lo and behold, the building wasn't ready.
So the main reason that the run isn't longer is because most cast members are moving on to other projects. We tried to find common dates to possibly remount the show at later dates, but the scheduling just didn't work out. No fishiness to speak of.
Believe me when I say that we (the cast) all wanted it to run for more than one weekend, but we (the board) also knew that we wanted to open the new space with JUDAS.
I am so sorry that you won't get to see this wonderful play, and I apologize that it didn't fit into your schedule this time around. However, there are 3 more productions in REP's 2010-2011 season - 2 of them in the new performance space - and we do hope that you will join us for one or all of those experiences.
