Stefan, tell the working poor holding two minimum wage jobs so that they can choose between groceries or rent that they're on a 'hedonic treadmill'. Yes, let them have 'altruistic endeavors' rather than a living wage. Rather that the super wealthy suffer with the indignities of their station's materialistic values than place such burdens upon the hoi polloi.
Ganna, get a clue. You have no idea of who the super rich are or how the great lot of them have screwed hard working ordinary people on their way up the ladder. Yes, hedge fund speculators and indolent heirs contribute SO MUCH to society that they need MORE MORE MORE. Since you place such a value on hard work, than surely you favor a living wage? Or should we pay the poor less so that they'll work harder, and pay the rich more so that they'll work harder?
