The "Northern Wake GOP" is actually the Northern Wake Republican CLUB. It's not an official part of the party, just a group of conservatives who support conservative values and raise money for conservative things. A CLUB. Sort of like PTA for conservatives.
Ms. Losurdo should not claim "vast" management experience if the sum total of her experience is managing not to spill the drinks in the strip club, and being "overseeing" some amount of money. Actual jobs with responsibility for $2 billion funds have more to them than overseeing. She should be able to specify her EXACT responsibilities and someone at the bank (HR maybe?) should be able to verify that.
As for the NW Republican Club - well, it's a club.
She has NO experience or education that would make her fit to sit on the School Board of this or any other county. It's funny how conservatives like to preach about morals but don't hesitate to throw good behavior out the window to get what they want. Inflating your credentials and glossing over your lack of personal fiscal responsibility while preaching to the county about how to spend their money isn't setting a very good example. Lots of do what I say, not what I do in there.
I think we've all had about enough of that.
Of course referring to the students as "goth" kids is a way of discrediting the students, dismissing them - calling them just a bunch of goth kids reduces them to a stereotype.
In reality the students were some of the most intelligent, inquiring and open-minded kids I know.
I am appalled at the idea that my son has to be confronted by this kind of protest, literature, photos and hate on his way in to his school. He has no choice but to be there, which makes him a captive audience. I am proud that the kids exercised THEIR free speech rights to challenge the materials and the positions of this group of protesters.
