The financing scheme on this (short-term debt rolled over periodically for a long term asset) is simply another form of variable rate mortgage financing. How's that been working out for all those borrowers who engaged in that method? Does the word "foreclosure":strike a familiar chord? Very disappointed that the author passed up the opportunity to blame George Bush for the building controversy like his fellow travelers in the media.
