musicmax brings up some great points, but I wouldn't call using a voice double a "non-issue." I respect both candidates (and, full disclosure, these two happen to be the only politicians I personally know... makes voting difficult!), but deliberately using a voice double is blatantly deceptive.
Mr. Lawson is normally a straight-ahead kind of guy, so I can only hope this idea came from some knucklehead on his staff, and then, in the middle of this crazy campaign, it got approved.
