I always appreciate Warren Buffett's comments about income inequality.
He figured out that his secretary pays a higher percentage of her salary in taxes than he does. He doesn't consider that fair and thinks that he should have to pay more. Unlike a lot of rich folks.
Two great quotes: "It's class warfare, my class is winning, but they shouldn't be."
"There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning."
We should all pay more attention to the Oracle from Omaha.
I can't wait to see the knuckle draggers and mouth breathers respond to this one. I found the article beautifully written. I think of Hitler's big lie every time I listen to Glen Beck or Hannity. Their lies are so outrageous I wonder how anyone could believe them.
Good work.
Re: “The wealth gap: An embarrassment of riches”
@gannamede
You are the exact reason why we can't have a conversation about income inequality in this country. Just bringing it up causes poeple to blow a gasket. Your faux outrage is awesome.
We should be able to have intelligent conversations about our winner take all capitalism system and whether it is working and if there are any other solutions. No one is talking about outlawing the Republican party you dunce. It is not socialism to discuss income inequality. Whether you have an IQ that is triple digits is still to be determined.
Please go back to reading Ayn Rand and feeling like you are a "water carrier" and everyone else is freeloading off of you tremendous gifts. Please go Galt and let the adults have a conversation about income inequality.
You should go read The Big Short by Michael Lewis and tell me whether our Galtian overlords are really that smart or they are just lucky or corrupt of both.
