Thank you for throwing this out there. it's a shame that the overwhelming majority of schools in the top 100 are private. You would think the public school sector would get behind this and really push it. And if the school your child attends doesn't have a chance at winning, why would you not cast your votes for a local school that could potentially win?
Another sad thing is the the Wake Cty administration hasn't encouraged its employees to get behind the schools and vote and told school administration to encourage its parents to do the same. The whole mentality of "if my school can't win, I won't help yours to either" is just sad. $500,000 to ANY public school would be a huge benefit.
